Monday, March 28

The Open has once again come and gone and I must admit that I am a little relieved. As much as I love the competition and camaraderie that it brings each year, it will be nice to get back to a “normal” training routine.

I do want to reiterate once more how proud we are of your efforts over the last few weeks. Whether you did every workout RX or scaled or just did half of it you should be proud of what you did. We will repeat these workouts down the road (even 16.5) and you will see how your hard work will pay off over the course of the next year.

Training will look a little different over the next few months as we start some new strength cycles and can focus on skill development rather than work capacity. We use the Open each year as our competition season to train for and create a “season” around. So we will recover from this season and begin to build for next year.

If you have other sports you are training for, please let us know if you’ve got games or races you want to work towards. We want you to reach your specific goals and that may mean modifying some of the things we do in the gym and that is perfectly fine. Just let us know and we will adjust.

Great job again and let’s get ready for a new year of training!
