Closest Thing to a Wonder Drug? Try Exercise

This article from the NY Times aggregates a lot of the evidence that exercise is just as good if not better than many drugs when it comes to fighting disease. Unfortunately, a lot of people think exercise is too tough for them, but the author points out that even moderate activity for just 30 minutes a day can be enough.

I know you guys aren’t the ones that need to hear this. You already know the benefits of exercise, but it’s nice to have this information so you can help spread the gospel of how important physical activity is in our lives.

“But exercise was found to be equally good as drugs in preventing mortality from coronary heart disease. Exercise was better than drugs in preventing death among patients from strokes.”

The list of diseases that can be improved by exercise goes on and on. And there are the added benefits of confidence and feeling great that can change people’s lives.

CrossFit can seem intimidating from the outside. But you all know it’s doable for everyone. Scaling the workouts for any fitness level is what the coaches are here for.
