The 616 nutrition plan is almost ready. We had initially targeted a September 1 release date, but there are a few more things we want to add to make it as easy as possible for you to follow and find success with it. It will be out very soon, but we don’t want to release an unfinished product. We will keep you posted.

Also, remember that next Monday, September 5 is Labor Day and we will only have one class at 8:30 am!

And, starting next week, all of our 9:30 am classes are moving to 8:30 am! That means CrossFit and Elements classes Monday through Friday are now 8:30 am.


The video below is a conversation between a couple of really great CrossFit coaches and they discuss a lot of topics coaches might encounter in the gym. But I’m linking to a specific part about mindset and goal setting that I think everyone can benefit from hearing.

Two things to pay attention to:
1. Growth mindset vs. fixed mindset
2. Kaizen – a Japanese word that means continuous improvement, or getting a little better each day.

In the video the coaches discuss the above two concepts and give further explanation. Of course, all of these ideas are open to interpretation, but I really like the idea of just getting a little better each day and not worrying if you did the best you could possibly do. It’s ok if you just got a little bit better.

Striving for constant improvement doesn’t mean hitting a new personal record or beating anyone else. It just means that you’re trying to get better than you were the day before.
