Congrats to everyone that competed this weekend. I know I’ve said it before, but it doesn’t matter what place you get as long as you gave it your all, which I know you did.

We had a lot of first-time competitors and that makes me happy. Not because I think you need to compete in CrossFit, but because it means you’re pushing yourself, trying new things and maybe getting out of your comfort zone a little bit. You can do that through CrossFit or anything else in life, but we should all be striving for the next level in whatever we do.

I heard someone on a podcast recently say that if you haven’t thought about quitting you’re probably not doing anything that challenges you. She also said that a goal doesn’t become a dream until it gets tested. If you have a dream of accomplishing something, it’s going to get hard at times. Know that and be ready.

Yes, there are times during a workout where we’ve all wanted to stop, but we keep going. And that’s just another reason I love CrossFit – if you can make yourself mentally tougher in these workouts you can apply that toughness to other parts of your life.

Whatever you are doing make sure you are challenging yourself. Don’t just cruise through life taking the easy way. But remember, when you do feel like quitting, there are a lot of people here to lift you up. Refocus on your dream, embrace the challenge and remember why you won’t quit.
