First off, I don’t know the full story behind this video or these athletes, but when I watched it I only thought of one thing. If you are strong and move well you can do anything.

I am not sure how much CrossFit the athletes in the video have done, My guess is not a lot, although they seemed to pick it up really fast – kipping muscle ups anyone? And yes, it looks like one is wearing Nanos and one is wearing Metcons.

But this is a Chinese weightlifting gym and those guys are weightlifters and they crushed a very difficult CrossFit workout.

Why? Because they are strong and know how to lift.

Like I said, I don’t know if they’ve ever tried a muscle up before this, but I’ve seen it time and time again where a really strong person can just do a muscle up because they are strong.

Strength is strength. Then you get to choose how to apply it.

So, if you’re after pull ups, push ups, muscle ups or any other movement, spend some time getting strong – for your bodyweight. And if you don’t think bodyweight has anything to do with it you may be missing something.
