Don't know if you guys saw the article last week about how eating read meat will kill you, but it made the rounds in the national media without much question from anyone. Here's the article in the NY Times. Read it and see what you think. Of course, there are two sides to every story and it seems now that there is quite a bit of flawed research in the study. Here's a rebuttal article pointing out some of the flaws and explaining some of the research. It can get a little science heavy, but if you scroll down you can read the summary, which isn't too bad. My point is that these types of headline grabbing "studies" are not always what they seem, but they do get a lot of media attention. Do the research when deciding what to eat, don't just listen to sounds bites and headlines.
