We are going to work on some split jerk technique today. Watch the demo below for tips on footwork and the dip. Pay attention to Josh when he talks about dipping forward. You don't want to do that and is usually the first fault we see with everyone. Keep the weight on the heels and dip straight down and then come straight back up. One cue I have read is to unlock the knees before you dip to prevent the forward lean. Also, people have a tendency to lean forward when the dip is too deep. That really starts to happen as the weights get heavier. If you haven't done a split jerk before, keep it light and work on technique and speed.
