Your're going to hear us talk about the Open a lot over the next couple of months, so get used to it! I've said before that it is a great way to test your fitness from year to year, but there's a couple of other reasons I think you should give it a shot. 1. It is fun! It's just fun to work out side by side with your gym mates and push yourself to a whole new level. It's like doing a mini competition once a week!

2. Doing the Open gives you a sense of belonging in the CrossFit community. Of course, you are all already a part of that, but when you do the same workout as every other CrossFitter in the world at the same time, you really get a sense of how amazing the CrossFit community is and how great it is to be a part of that.

Look, you don't have to have any expectations or think you are going to win in order to sign up. I heard someone say that it's like running a 5k or a marathon. You know you're probably not going to win, but you do it for the spirit of the event and the sport. We are encouraging you all to sign up and get into the spirit of CrossFit!
