Check out the video below about Robin Edds. She has made drastic changes in her life through CrossFit, but before that she decided to make drastic changes by other methods. She was extremely overweight and thought her only way out was by having surgery. Now, as a CrossFitter years later, she thinks she would have made a different decision on how to lose weight and get healthy. It's easy to want to take the easy way sometimes in everything we do, but she is a great example of how what seems easy at the time may not be the best decision. I'm not just talking about losing weight. We are faced with tough decisions every day and we have the choice to go one way or the other. As you ponder your choices each day try to think about why you are choosing your path. Is it just because it is easy, or is it because it is the right thing to do?
I try to never make a decision based on whether or not it is more work for me. I obviously would like to do less work, but that doesn't always mean it is the right choice. The easy way is not always the best way and if you put in the work you will be rewarded in the end and I think you will enjoy the journey.
