Happy Monday! I hope you all had a GREAT weekend and are rejuvenated for a new week. Everyday you come into the gym for class a little early and you're ready to go when class starts, right? It is extremely important to show up to class ON TIME or better yet, a few minutes early. Getting to the gym on time (not a few minutes late) allows you to be taken through a workout-specific warm-up with the group. It may seem like we do similar warm-ups each day, but your warm-up movements are used to warm specific muscle groups and activate the muscles we will use that day. If you're late you will miss out on those important movements that help you get the most out of your work out and help prevent injury. Additionally, if you're late and require extra attention to get warmed up from a coach you are taking attention away from your fellow CrossFitters. Do what you have to do in order to get to the gym on time, and if you have to wait for the next class then show up a little early so that you can roll out or stretch muscles that need attention. If nothing else, just show up early so that you can catch up with your fellow 616ers on what's new! We are here to take you through a complete workout including that movement specific warm-up. Make sure you're doing your part to be to the gym AND ready to start on time for the class you're participating in.
