Nice work on Open workout 15.2! So many of you did better than last year and/or got your first ever chest-to-bar pullups. That is what the Open is all about. Yes, we can do these workouts on our own and compare our scores, but there is something about being a part of this bigger event that makes us push a little harder. When you have no choice but to get your chest to the bar amazing things happen and you find out a lot about yourself. And with that knowledge you can attack your future training. Not only are you getting your first chest-to-bar pullup or your first overhead squat at 65/95 pounds, but you are doing 15 or 20 reps there. We could not be more proud of you all and can't wait to see what the next three weeks have in store. Remember to pay attention to how you feel after these workouts really analyze your performance. I recommend writing it all down in your journal rather than just recording a score. This is valuable information we are gathering here to help us progress in our training over the next year. I have some more thoughts about the Open workouts and how to use your strengths and weaknesses that I will write more about this week, but for now I want you to think about what you could have done to get a better score. Is it simply moving faster? Maybe you have to get stronger or maybe it's a mobility issue. Don't just write down a number and move on. Let's assess our performance and grow from there.
