1. What do you think about when doing cleans? It's very easy to get caught thinking about too many things and not being able to move quickly, but you should have a mental checklist during your set up that helps you stay solid on the tough parts of the lift for you. Those parts will be different for everyone. Again, try not to think about more than one or two things, then get set and go. Here's a video of some athletes discussing what they think about during the clean and jerk.

2. In case you haven't been following the Pan Am Games in Toronto, some American weightlifters have had really good showings. Especially in the men's 94 kg category. Kendrick Farris took gold and Norik Vardanian took silver. Here is the video of their snatches and clean and jerks.
