The beach workout on Saturday was a lot of fun. Thanks to all of you that came out and waited out the "minor" storm! It turned into a perfect day. (Until Anna broke my phone;)) After doing a workout like that I remember how important it is to get out of the gym and have some fun. Yeah, we worked out, but to me the important part was being able to put our fitness to use and enjoy ourselves outside.

The CrossFit Games start this week and it's easy to get caught up in the competitive side of it and forget that most of us are just training to be healthy and fit and to be able to enjoy life. Even the best athletes need to relax and have some fun sometimes.

Check out the video below of some of the top male CrossFit athletes preparing for the Games. These guys workout A LOT, but they also know that rest, recovery and fun are necessary. They even talk about how they have to remind themselves to relax and not do too much sometimes. It's an interesting look into the lives and training of some of the best.
