There's been a lot of talk about the CrossFit Games events and whether some of them were too hard or dangerous. The main event people are discussing is Murph being done in the middle of the day when it was around 100 degrees out. Some say it was dangerous and some don't. I don't know the answer to that, but it has lead to some interesting conversation about training in the heat and how to prepare yourself. We aren't faced with too many extremely hot days in Michigan, but it's always good to be prepared and safe. As the sport of CrossFit evolves, the training and preparation will only get better. Experts will arrive to teach people how to be ready for these situations and athletes will be ready.
Check out the conversation below on how to deal with training in the heat and how to prepare in advance if you know you have an event coming up in a hot environment.
