Friday, September 25

Next Wednesday, September 30 is our next Wednesday FriendsDay! Bring a friend that has never tried CrossFit! Also, if your friend can't make it that day, please check with us so we can find another day that will be appropriate for new people! Now it's time for the Weekly Roundup! Here's just a few of the interesting things I saw this week:

1. Watching people accomplish amazing physical tasks will never get old to me. Whether it's CrossFit or any other sport. Here's Isaac Caldiero beating the American Ninja Warrior course for the first time. He and Geoff Britten both beat the course and were the first people to ever complete the full American course. Caldiero won because he had a faster time. Either way, it's an amazing performance.

2. New research shows that 1 in 3 kids eats fast food on any given day. That's just a sad statistic, and these kids are just being set up to have an unhealthy diet for the rest of their lives. Fast food companies know how to market and make foods that appeal to our deepest cravings. That's hard to resist, and there is no health food equivalent to compete. We need a culture change in this country and that starts with all of us eating the right way so the market will respond. Not an easy task, but one worth doing.

3. Have a great weekend!
