It's Wednesday FriendsDay! Bring a friend that has never tried CrossFit to any class today!
One of the things I love about CrossFit is that it continues to challenge me physically, mentally, and at times, emotionally (maybe some tears along the way). After nearly six years of training, I am still tested daily to move better, get stronger, get faster and more.
There are a lot of high-level skills that we are introduced to through CrossFit and these skills take years and years to develop. It's easy to walk into the gym today and see lots of people making high-level gymnastics and weightlifting skills look rather easy. But what we don't see is the years of hard work that went into that skill development.
We also don't see the very large number of failed attempts that came first.
Learning new skills can be fun, challenging, and rewarding. And failure can teach us a lot along the way. This is part of our DNA.
Failure is where we learn. If you are never pushing to failure, you're never going to learn what you need to do to succeed.
