Hope you had a great week and have been able to get back into the swing of things after Thanksgiving. Think about how you felt this week and try to make educated decisions on how you treat holidays or time off in the future. Rest and recovery are great, but after that period, what's the best way to get back into your routine? It's different for everyone so pay attention to how you feel and remember it for next time. 1. In case you missed the weightlifting World Championships last week, here's Alexey Lovchev clean and jerking 264 kg (582 pounds)!!! A new world record and the most anyone has every clean and jerked in any weight class ever. It won't be long before we see someone lift 600 pounds over his head!
2. And here's Jenny Arthur of the US setting a new American record in the clean and jerk at 138 kg (304 pounds). She only weighs 75 kg or 165 pounds!
