While you are enjoying the holidays try to be active throughout the day even if you can't make it to the gym. Go for a walk, play a sport or just do some burpees in the basement. Studies show that too much "Netflix and chill" can reduce brain power over time.

This study on watching TV was conducted over 25 years and found: "People who got little exercise or watched at least three hours of TV a day did worse on tests measuring cognitive focus and speed than those who got more exercise or watched less TV, according to the study, published in JAMA Psychiatry"

Of course, a little relaxation over the next week isn't going to kill you, or make you dumber, but staying with a routine of moving each day will make it easier to get back to the gym after the holidays are over. Enjoy a few days off if you're taking them and we will see you back at the gym soon!
