The Open is fast approaching in case you hadn't noticed as we tear through the past Open WODs. The first workout is announced on Thursday, February 25 and we will schedule that as the workout of the day on Friday the 26th. Each Friday for the duration of the Open (5 weeks) will be dedicated to the Open workout of the week. We are focusing on the CrossFit 616 team this year and we want you to be a part of it. The team score for each affiliate is calculated by taking the top three men's and women's scores from the workout each week. It does not have to be the same six people each week. Every workout is different and different people will excel. So the more people we have on the team, the better chances we have week to week.
We will once again host "Friday Night Lights" each week for the Open. We want to make this a true community event and would like to get as many people together to do these workouts each week. We will cheer each other on and serve as judges for other athletes.
Friday Night Lights will be from 5:30-7 pm each Friday night during the Open. We want to get as many people here as possible during that time (please plan on sticking around after your heat). The last official class of the day will be at noon, but we'll still have open gym time from 3-5 pm.
The crowd support definitely makes a difference. Feel free to invite friends and family to watch and cheer too!
