Happy St. Patrick's Day! Please be safe out there if you're partaking in the festivities, and make sure you come get your workout in before you go out! Here's your fun fact for today (brought to you by good old Wikipedia): Have you ever wondered why eating and drinking are staples of St. Patrick's Day? "The day commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, and celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish in general. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, céilithe, and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks. Christians also attend church services and the Lenten restrictions on eating and drinking alcohol are lifted for the day, which has encouraged and propagated the holiday's tradition of alcohol consumption."

As a reminder, Open Workout 16.4 will be released tonight at 8pm. Remember that there will be regular class times through Noon on Friday, and after that there are no scheduled classes. We will begin running heats of 16.4 at 5pm, and should be wrapped up around 7pm...assuming Dave Castro doesn't feed us another 20 min WOD.

And for those of you who love getting excited about guessing what the next Open WOD will be, here's a fun read and prediction about what WOD will repeat in 2016 from previous Open years.

What Open WOD Will Repeat in 2016?

We are working on rope climbs today, so please wear long pants or long socks to protect your legs when wrapping for foot holds!
