The tubing trip is this Saturday, August 20! Our trip starts at noon so please arrive at the rental location by 11:30 am so we can get tubes and bus to the start. Here's a link to the tubing company's site. Also, please sign up at the gym just so we can give them an idea of how many are coming. Saw this Instagram post from USA Weightlifter Mattie Rogers and liked the message. Even though Mattie was the best female lifter at the US Olympic trials this year, she didn't make the Olympic team because of the complicated qualifying system in weightlifting. She was obviously devastated as you can see in the picture, but she continues to train and uses this moment as motivation going forward.

If you accomplish every goal you set you may need to reevaluate. You might not be pushing yourself to see what you are actually capable of achieving. Failure should not be feared, rather we should learn from it and move forward. Or, as Mattie Rogers likes to say #HeadDownEyesForward #EarnedNotGiven
