I heard about the Clean Label Project last week and think you all would be interested. It's a nonprofit group of scientists and doctors working for more transparency in product labeling. They are out there to make sure we really know what we are putting in our bodies, our children's bodies, and our pets' bodies.
It's sort of scary, but there's stuff in our food and supplements that doesn't make it on the label and some of that stuff isn't good for you. Then there's the problem of the listed ingredients being tainted or low quality.
The Clean Label Project is working to fix that. Right now they test protein powder, baby food, cat food, and dog food. And they're adding more categories all of the time. It's pretty easy to search for the brand you use and check the quality. Warning, it can be sad and disappointing. But totally worth it.
