I’d say almost everyone wishes they could get more sleep. Unfortunately, it’s not always an option to just add an hour of sleep to your day, and many of us are walking around sleep deprived too often. All of the research shows that we need 7-9 hours of sleep a night, but even if you are in bed for that amount of time, you might not be getting quality sleep.

So, if you can’t always control the amount of hours you can sleep, you can at least try to make your sleep quality as good as possible. How do you do that?

Here’s a great video from Mobility WOD on how to improve your sleep. These are real, practical things that you can do to improve your sleep and hopefully feel more rested.

Sleep, nutrition, and exercise are the big three when it comes to our health. If you are feeling rundown or you’re getting sick a lot, start by looking at those three things. It’s popular to try to find the magic pill in our culture, but if you can manage the big three you should be feeling pretty good.

Don’t let all your hard work in the gym go to waste by not sleeping well and getting the recovery you need. Check out the video and see if you can improve your sleep!
